I have worked out all the bugs, I should be posting a beta in the next day or so. I am getting a friend to do the icon work for the application.

By now you probably came up with something already, but while reading your posts I came up with an idea for making host spectator, though not for a flycam. This hinges on one important thing though: is it possible to specify host as being the first person to join the server and then through memhacking or some crazy magical ability modify the spawn point for "player 1" to always fall outside of the map? If the bsp is still there, spawning outside won't kill you, and in the right place host may even have a good view of the map. I know you can change the coords of a spawn point through memhacking, so the only thing really in the way is finding a way to only specifically target the host, right?

Not sure if he has worked out the spectator thing yet.

One of my apps, HServerChanger, has a 'spectator' mode, which does something similar to what you said and involves memory modifying:

1) Instead of modifying spawn points, the mode just moves the player to some arbitrary location where he'll die. (The host is always the first player in memory as you thought). This happens every time the player is alive, which will happen every new game.
2) It frequently resets the player's time to spawn so that it doesn't reach 0. This stops the player from re-spawning.
3) It sets the player's team to a non-existent team, which is appropriate in gametypes such as CTF which will remove the host from other player's scoreboards.

In this beta I have gotten the host to be able to actively play in the game. The next beta should have the ability to be a 'spectator' in the match.

Yes there is a typo, that is why I have to step in and correct the second map loading. I saw that after I started recording and i did not feel like recording it again so I just kept going.
